Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join their partner schools in Luton. This full-time role will commence in January 2025.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with children who require additional support, focusing on delivering tailored lesson content and promoting positive outcomes. They will be an integral part of the educational team, working collaboratively with teachers and other learning support assistants to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to develop strong relationships with parents, ensuring effective communication and progress tracking. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and understanding when interacting with children who have special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
  • Maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor when dealing with challenging behaviors
  • Work closely with class teachers to monitor student progress and implement targeted strategies for improvement
  • Foster strong relationships with parents through regular communication and updates on student progress
  • Collaborate effectively with the educational team to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
