Job Title: Educational Support Professional

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Support Worker for Children to join our Primary School team in a full-time role.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our Year 3 class in the mornings and Reception Class in the afternoons.
  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons, adapting content as needed for different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes social interaction and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning (Year 3 Class):
    • Ensure children with SEND can access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom by providing individualized support.
    • Help the class teacher plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
    • Promote a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and respect among students.
  • Afternoon (Reception Class):
    • Support children with SEND during their early years development, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
    • Deliver phonics, literacy, and numeracy activities tailored to individual needs, promoting a love of learning.
    • Encourage positive behaviour and well-being, addressing any emerging issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, is highly desirable.

Estimated Salary: £30,500 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
