Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team at Kilimanjaro Children Homes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized care and support to children in our residential setting.
Job Description:The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of child development and be able to create personalized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each child. You will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of children.
- Provide direct support to children, engaging them in activities that promote their growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues, using strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made by each child, using technology to streamline processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a residential or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- A valid driving license, preferred for transportation purposes related to the role.
- A background in childcare or related fields, though not mandatory, would be beneficial in understanding child development and care principles.
