Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled phlebotomist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As a senior phlebotomy practitioner, you will be responsible for providing a patient-friendly service, ensuring that blood specimens are taken safely and efficiently, and working collaboratively with other healthcare staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing phlebotomy services to patients on wards and outpatient departments.
  • Ensuring the safe collection and transportation of blood specimens.
  • Working effectively with a computer on wheels using the EPR system.
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Ensuring adherence to trust and departmental policies for safe working practices and cross-infection control.

We are looking for an individual with excellent patient care and compassion skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, and good IT skills.
