Care Home Administrator Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the General Manager, focusing on customer experience elements, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance, and supervising junior administrators.

About the Role:

  • Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Manage enquiries and showrounds of the home for prospective families, including managing the customer database appropriately to support commercial performance and conversion of enquiries.
  • Drive occupancy and reputation of the Care Home as part of a community engagement team.
  • Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistant with the recruitment of home staff, completing employment new starter checks and arranging inductions.
  • Prepare payroll for home-based staff.
  • Offer guidance to employees on HR-related queries.
  • Ensure secure storage of personal files.
  • Participate in meetings and prepare accurate meeting notes.
  • Oversee safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts.
  • Update employee records with ad-hoc training, supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Guide staff on development opportunities, including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications.

About You:

  • Must have previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Necessary background in HR administration and recruitment.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft applications.

Remuneration Package:

  • An attractive salary of £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
