Senior Residential Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Residential Worker to join our team at Corus Consultancy.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people in our care. This will involve working closely with the management team to achieve the aims and objectives of our Statement of Purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a caring and nurturing environment for children and young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate, promoting their education and well-being.
- Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- Act as a positive role model and bring into practice a therapeutic approach in dealing with any child.
- Assist Support Workers in their roles as Key Workers and act as a link worker to the Children/Young People when their Key Worker is not available.
- Ensure each member of staff is aware of each child's care plan and their responsibilities for its implementation.
- Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for the children.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage staff effectively.
- Knowledge of child development and the ability to promote positive outcomes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
