Residential Care Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Shift Lead to join our team at Corus Consultancy. As a Shift Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting and managing our staff to ensure the needs of the children and young people in our care are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a Caring Environment: Create a safe and nurturing environment where children and young people can feel secure and supported.
- Education and Attendance: Promote the child's education by assisting with school attendance, homework, and school liaison, and attending parent-teacher meetings.
- Positive Role Modeling: Act as a positive role model to children and young people, bringing a therapeutic approach to your interactions.
- Staff Support: Assist Support Workers in their roles as Key Workers and act as a link worker to children and young people when their Key Worker is not available.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and legible records and reports regarding the children and young people in our care.
- Meetings and Consultation: Chair children's meetings and facilitate consultation with young people.
- Health and Safety: Cooperate with the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
- Qualifications: Minimum NVQ level 3 in residential childcare and 2 years' experience in a children's residential home.
- Shift Work: Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, as well as an on-call rota system.
- Criminal Records Bureau Check: Clear Criminal Records Bureau check at all times, with the ability to be on the DBS update service.
