Job Title: Shift Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at Corus Consultancy. As a Shift Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting and managing our staff to ensure the highest standards of care for the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Leadership and Support: To lead and support the team in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  2. Manage Staff Performance: To manage and develop the skills and performance of the staff team, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of the children and young people.
  3. Collaborate with Other Professionals: To work in partnership with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to achieve the best outcomes for the children and young people.
  4. Ensure Compliance: To ensure that all aspects of the job are carried out in accordance with the company's policies, procedures, and National Minimum Standards.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications and Experience: A minimum NVQ level 3 in residential childcare and a minimum of 2 years' experience in working within a children's residential home.
  2. Flexibility and Availability: To work varying shifts, including early morning and late evening work, and to be available for on-call duties and weekends as part of a rota.
  3. Clearance and Certification: To hold a clear Criminal Records Bureau check at all times and to be on the DBS update service.
