Job Title: Project Manager

Description:

  • As a seasoned project manager, you will oversee the establishment of processes, templates, and tools, as well as agreeing on the baseline for cost and schedule, while monitoring performance against it and incorporating the impacts of risk, opportunities, and change in a controlled manner.
  • You will lead the evaluation of the project's time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to enable the successful delivery of the project.
  • The role requires cooperation with a remote team of cost managers responsible for reaching an agreed, market-tested cost baseline and ensuring the client receives value for money.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for guiding and influencing the general contractor, ensuring they progress in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • A key point of contact to the client, you will overcome delivery and commercial issues while preparing formal and ad hoc reports focusing on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Create and/or work within a cost report, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Understanding change management principles is crucial for leading the agreed change management process and workflow, providing a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving change.
  • Candidates should have experience in coordinating and leading planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile the master project/programme schedule, agreeing baselines, and critical paths.
  • Actively participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on the overall project cost and schedule.
  • Maintain close relationships with project teams to stay informed about project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.
  • Key Responsibilities include holding vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting to maintain timely and accurate updates of the master schedule, ensuring adherence to the defined process and quality expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project controls coordination across all phases of the project lifecycle, including programs, risk, and reporting, with specialist life sciences or data centre sector experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures and critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

Location: Global, with opportunities to work from home and travel to project sites.
