Ambulance Support Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as an Ambulance Support Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with ambulance crews and hospital staff to provide essential support services, ensuring the smooth transition of patients from ambulances to hospital care.
As an Ambulance Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- To provide administrative support to the HALO initiative, including data entry and record-keeping.
- To assist with patient flow management, ensuring timely off-loading and maintaining operational efficiency.
- To develop effective working relationships with colleagues and the public, promoting equality and diversity.
- To adhere to infection prevention and control measures, maintain personal hygiene standards, and keep the SWAST Volunteer uniform and equipment clean.
Requirements include:
- Experience in dealing with diverse age and social groups.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible approach to volunteering hours and role demands.
- Able to use initiative and be self-motivated.
We offer a competitive salary range of £13,000 - £16,500 per annum, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
