About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Supervisor to join our Outpatient Administration team at the Leeds Dental Institute. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and training administration staff, ensuring the effective administration of patient bookings, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train administration staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure the effective administration of patient bookings, including monitoring attendance and responding to telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
  • Manage and develop the administrative team, including monitoring attendance, approving leave, and addressing HR issues.
  • Provide cover and reception clinics as allocated, and obtain complete information for each patient attendance and record any changes onto the Patient Administration System in a timely and accurate way.
  • Perform other clerical duties as necessary, including filing and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
  • A good team player with the ability to work flexibly in a diverse and demanding environment.
  • Experience at supervisory/senior level in a healthcare environment, with well-developed knowledge and experience of using a variety of IT applications in a Windows-based environment.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics grade C or above, and a willingness to undergo training.
