About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team at Pratap Partnership Ltd. as a key member of our HR department. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional to make a significant impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Senior Leadership Team
    • Provide HR advice and guidance to the Senior Leadership Team on policy-related queries, ensuring compliance with UK Employment Law.
    • Act as a Company witness, notetaker, and advisor, ensuring all policies are upheld and consistency is applied to ER cases.
  • Employee Relations and Recruitment
    • Support line managers in their employee relations, providing guidance on employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.
    • Take ownership of the recruitment process, including agreeing on vacancy specs, planning talent attraction, and advising on selection processes.
    • Ensure a robust offer and onboarding process for new employees, including creating employment contracts and ensuring due diligence and compliance.
  • HR Systems and Data
    • Primary system owner for the T&A, HRIS, and LMS, including development, project work, and maintaining GDPR compliance.
    • Coordinate Occupational Health activities, including appointment bookings, referrals, report reviews, and escalation.
  • Union Relations and Change Management
    • Work with the HR Manager to coordinate tasks and documentation associated with Union relations, negotiations, and agreements.
    • Support the HR Manager in change management initiatives, including participation in consultation, collation, and documentation of consultation meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience at HR Advisor level or above, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering, automotive, construction, or similar sector.
  • Excellent up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and a desire to develop that knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with line managers and Senior Leadership from a HR perspective.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident manner, with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the business.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to suggest improvements to systems, including Time & Attendance, HR data reporting, and MS Office Packages.
  • Resilience, a high drive for success, and excellent attention to detail.
