Security Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Security Manager to lead our in-house security function at a high-profile location in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of site security, leading on the strategic planning of the security function, and overseeing the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assignment instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Delivery: Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of site security, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
- Strategic Planning: Lead on the development and implementation of strategic security plans, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
- SOPs and Assignment Instructions: Oversee the creation and implementation of SOPs and assignment instructions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Staff Management: Conduct and monitor staff appraisals, provide coaching and development opportunities, and encourage further learning and professional growth.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for security staff, focusing on emergency preparedness, crisis management, and incident response.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with senior stakeholders, including police and emergency services, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Incident Management: Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring a swift and effective response to minimize disruption and risk.
- Control Room Services: Oversee the delivery of control room services, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with security teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Property and Facilities teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to security and risk management.
- Proven experience in managing the delivery of operational and/or strategic security in a corporate environment.
- Strong people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing inclusive security teams.
- Experience implementing security strategy, including crisis management, emergency planning, and incident management plans.
- Passion for service excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality security services.
- Ability to positively influence and engage senior stakeholders, including police and emergency services.
- Professional membership of bodies such as the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) or the Security Institute would be an advantage.
