Job Summary:
Vigilant Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Manager to join our team. As a Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operations of our estate in Central London. This is a night shift only full-time role, working on a rolling pattern of 5 on, 3 off, and 4 on, 2 off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Respond: Monitor all security and building management systems in the Security Control Room and respond to suspicious activities or persons using CCTV surveillance systems.
- Supervise and Support: Support the Security Supervisor on the day-to-day operations and step-up or cover the Security Supervisor role on an interim basis in their absence.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work in partnership with all service providers across the Soho Place estate and actively communicate with the wider security team for the efficient and effective running of security operations.
- Manage and Maintain: Manage the fault log and follow up Help Desk or callout requests, and ensure all landlord contractor access is pre-authorised and in accordance with risk assessment/permit to work conditions.
- Report and Analyze: Complete comprehensive incident reports to a high standard and ensure these are submitted in a reasonable time, and oversee and manage any emergency incidents.
- Inspect and Patrol: Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instructions, and complete a full detailed handover at the end of each shift.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications and Experience: Valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV licence, verifiable 5 years of continuous work employment history without gaps, and previous experience in a customer service/security facing role.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels, ability to work independently with confidence, using own initiative as required under pressure, and a keen eye for detail.
- Personal Qualities: Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player, reliable, and willing to work night shifts and any overtime if required.
