Security Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities- Manage all screening personnel and provide supervision to screening services on an on-demand basis.
- Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviors of all security personnel, taking remedial action as necessary.
- Accurately roster and forward plan all direct reporting officers, ensuring sufficient cover for holidays, sickness, and absences.
- Proactively monitor performance, maintain positive employee relations, and ensure coaching, counseling, and investigations are implemented in line with company policy and procedures.
- Actively encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
- Assign instructions and site documentation, ensuring they are up to date.
- Report all incidents in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.
- Assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing best practices and using systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
- Plan, develop, and implement staff training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
- Monitor faults with security-related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly.
- Be fully conversant with operational functions, including Access Control, CCTV, Detection, and Alarm Systems, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained.
- Participate in company training to improve standards of performance.
- Be the first point of contact on their shift for security function-related queries, resolving more complex queries using experience and knowledge.
- Current SIA license
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- 3-5 years of supervisor experience
- Data center experience
- Strong communication skills
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, and E-Mail (Outlook)
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion
