Security Operations Manager

Securitas, a leading global security services provider, is seeking an experienced Screening Supervisor to join their team in London. As a key member of the security operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of clients across various sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid SIA license, a strong background in security operations, and excellent communication skills. With a focus on leadership and team management, you will be responsible for supervising screening personnel, managing day-to-day operational issues, and providing a central point of contact for service delivery development and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage screening personnel to ensure compliance with industry requirements and company policies.
- Accurately roster and forward plan direct reporting officers to ensure sufficient cover for holidays, sickness, and absences.
- Monitor and manage the appearance and behavior of all security personnel, taking remedial action as necessary.
- Actively encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
- Assign instructions and site documentation, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with customer and company policies.
- Report incidents in accordance with customer and company policies.
- Assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing best practices and using systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.
- Plan, develop, and implement staff training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
- Monitor faults with security-related equipment and ensure they are reported correctly.
- Be conversant with operational functions, including Access Control, CCTV, Detection, and Alarm Systems, ensuring an effective monitoring and reporting function is maintained.
- Participate in company training to improve standards of performance.
- Be the first point of contact on their shift for security function-related queries, resolving more complex queries using experience and knowledge.
Essential Skills:
- Current SIA license
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- 3-5 years of supervisor experience
- Data center experience
- Strong communication skills
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, and E-Mail (Outlook)
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills, able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
