Job Title: Security Manager

Ward Security Limited is seeking an experienced Security Manager to join our team at Hornsey Town Hall in North London. This is a unique opportunity to work in a landmark development that includes an arts centre, hotel, and residential apartments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Directly manage the supervision of personnel, ensuring timely and professional adherence to company obligations.
  2. Be the first point of contact for security and staff issues on site, escalating as necessary.
  3. Liaise with Security Officers to ensure effective operation of the company.
  4. Respond to evacuations and emergencies, ensuring team members take appropriate action.
  5. Ensure staff and clients assist the Health & Safety Officer in adhering to policies and regulations.
  6. Participate in and ensure continuation of specialist training for key staff members.
  7. Ensure team members work effectively and provide further training as required.
  8. Provide regular foot patrols as an effective deterrent for client property and assets.
  9. Monitor CCTV and alarm functions, completing necessary documentation.
  10. Carry out routine search procedures in a sensitive manner.
  11. Effectively deal with incidents within the security remit and report to relevant authorities.
  12. Deal with mail and goods in/out according to site-specific Assignment Instructions.
  13. Undertake other related duties as required, in consultation with the Security Manager or other appropriate Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience in management and the security industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A sound working knowledge of security best practices and legislation.
  • Knowledge of working in commercial and residential environments.
  • Security professional with extensive knowledge of the industry.
  • Experience in writing procedures, drafting reports, and preparing business cases.
