We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Crewing Officer to join our team at James Fisher and Sons plc. As a key member of our crewing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Crew Changes: Arrange travel and immigration for seafarers, check documents, update supplier tracking sheets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Travel Invoices Coordination: Manage and coordinate travel invoices for crew members.
- Payroll Reporting: Provide accurate and timely payroll reporting to the Crewing Manager.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to the Crewing Manager.
- People Reporting: Maintain accurate records of crew members, including their qualifications and certifications.
- Shipmate Superuser: Manage and maintain the Shipmate system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Document Management: Upload and verify documents in the crewing systems, including OCIMF and Shipmate.
- Drug and Alcohol Screening: Arrange for drug and alcohol screening for company vessels.
- Incident Investigations: Assist in incident investigations on assigned vessels.
- Seafarer Conferences: Participate in seafarer conferences as required.
- Procedure Review: Support the annual review of procedures by providing feedback to the Crewing Manager.
- Audits: Participate in audits as required.
- Crewing Experience: Proven experience in crewing operations.
- Documentation and Compliance: Understanding of documentation, SMS, and OCIMF TMSA STCW MLC.
- Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
- Numeracy and Excel Skills: Ability to manage and analyze data using Excel.
- Team Player: Good team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Continuous Improvement: Ability to continuously review activities and seek opportunities for improvement.
