Train Presentation Team Leader

About the Role

The Train Presentation Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of trains meet the highest standards, as outlined in the Train Presentation Handbook.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times, including visitors and contractors.
  • Provide proactive information to improve train presentation standards.
  • Report defects and maintenance issues.
  • Conduct environmental exams and report defects as necessary.
  • Advise on all work carried out.
  • Work in accordance with South West Trains quality procedures.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Comply with COSHH regulations.

Key Requirements

  • Comply with safety systems and responsibilities at all times.
  • Develop a proactive approach to safety and quality issues.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
  • Carry out emergency procedures when required.
  • Report irregularities, faults, or unusual occurrences in the prescribed manner.
  • Wear uniform and safety clothing, including a name badge.
  • Participate in staff briefings to stay informed.
  • Examine notices, publications, and instructions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of carriage cleaning procedures, specifications, and COSHH regulations.
  • Basic communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements.

Working Pattern

Working an average of 37 hours per week, with mixed shift rosters.
