Medical Receptionist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Belgrave Medical Centre. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, providing exceptional patient care and support to our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls, ensuring that callers are answered courteously, promptly and clearly, and that accurate messages are always passed to the appropriate person.
- Process online consultation forms onto the SystmOne computer system in order to be triaged by the clinician.
- Receive and direct patients and visitors to the practice promptly and courteously.
- Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
- Work closely with the other reception staff to ensure the smooth running of reception and efficient delivery of services to the patients.
- Book appointments and contact patients when required.
- Complete patient-related tasks in a timely manner.
- Register new patients, and process information such as change of address.
- Process repeat prescription requests.
- Be responsible for the opening and closing of the practice.
- Be able to refer patients via tasks from the GP's.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of working in a GP practice.
- Experience of working in primary care.
- Experience of using SystmOne.
Qualifications
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
