About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Chartwells. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our students and staff
  • Oversee the production of food, ensuring high-quality dishes are served consistently
  • Manage stock control, waste control, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Work closely with our leadership team to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and culinary concepts
  • Lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service
