SEN Teaching Assistant Role

In this role, you will provide support to students with complex needs, promoting independence and encouraging participation.
You will work closely with teachers to tailor support to individual students' needs, applying de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Student Support: Work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to students with complex needs.
- Lifelong Learning: Empower children to develop essential life skills and build confidence.
- Participation Strategies: Implement creative strategies to encourage active participation and progress.
- Behaviour Management: Apply evidence-based de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm learning environment.
- SEN Practices: Develop knowledge of SEN practices, including EYFS and KS1.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is preferred.
- Good English and Mathematics skills are desirable.
- Previous experience with personal care or manual handling is advantageous.
- Competitive Salary: £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
