Job Title: Regional Development Lead

Children North East is a leading children's charity that serves the North East region, with a presence in England, Wales, and Scotland. Our mission is to support babies, children, and young people in achieving their full potential, despite the challenges they may face.

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Development Lead to join our team, reporting directly to the Operational Development Director. This role will play a critical part in driving our strategic growth, developing new services, and expanding our reach across the North East.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow our external participation, consultation, and research work.
  • Lead the development of our internal voice offer to babies, children, young people, and families we serve.
  • Support the development, implementation, and sales of our training offer across the North East through a new online platform.
  • Conduct thorough research on potential new areas of work, scoping current issues and trends affecting babies, children, and young people.
  • Drive forward our current work across the North East region, working closely with the Operations Director and Operational Development Director.
  • Collaborate with the Policy team to influence and drive forward our policy and campaign work.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in strategic development, growth, and expansion.
  • Strong understanding of the North East region and its communities.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, and families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively.
