NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to take on a challenging role with clinical lead responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and leading Primary Care Medical Services to the prison population at HMP Barlinnie, HMP Greenock, HMP Low Moss Prison, and the Women's Community Custody Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat newly received prisoners/patients requiring treatment for substance misuse
- Work closely with operational management and other clinical disciplines to deliver a high-quality service and support service improvement
- Provide medical support during core hours and may be required to work public holidays as agreed
- GMC registration and a license to practice medicine in the UK
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A competitive salary of £80,505 - £103,242
- An additional payment for clinical leadership responsibilities
- The opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment
