Freelance Interpreter Required for UK Public and Private Sectors

We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work with various UK public and private organisations, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other sectors.
As a self-employed interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality interpreting services, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting.
Language Empire provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK, covering hundreds of languages and dialects.
We are looking for individuals who are fluent in English and another language, with formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.
As a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home and choose your own schedule.
Our dedicated in-house team will provide ongoing support and help with continuous professional development.
Once your registration has been approved, you will be contacted for job opportunities in your locality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
- Checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Dealing with highly confidential information
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation
