Protecting, building and promoting the image of the BMW Group and its products in the UK requires a team of skilled professionals. As a Corporate Communications Assistant, you will be an integral part of this team, working with a broad range of media and influencers to ensure the BMW Group's image is consistently presented in a positive light.

The role of Corporate Communications Assistant is to support the team in various ways, including press fleet management, event organisation, and operational administration. You will be responsible for liaising with media, assisting with event planning and execution, and maintaining contact databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in press fleet management, including booking vehicle loans, liaising with journalists and internal/external teams, and cleaning cars.
  • Assist with event organisation, including planning and execution of international and national press launches, guest management, logistics planning, and delivering event assets.
  • Maintain contact databases and assist with operational administration, including obtaining quotes from suppliers and raising purchase orders.
  • Liaise with media as required, supporting/researching media enquiries, working with the PR team, and replying to journalist emails.
  • Compile summary of recent coverage for internal and network contacts.

Requirements:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor degree with a predicted grade of 2:1 or higher, preferably in PR, Business or Marketing subjects.
  • Relevant work experience is expected, with a genuine interest in the field of communications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is consistent and reliable attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is required.
