Job Overview: As a Lead Foster Care Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting foster parents in their roles, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to provide high-quality care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and maintaining positive relationships between foster families, social workers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support foster parents in their daily activities, providing guidance and training where needed.
- Conduct regular home visits to assess the well-being of children in care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for children.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance foster care practices, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in foster care, preferably in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
