Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a leading company to fill a Field Service Engineer position in Birmingham. This role involves servicing and repairing patient mobility and handling equipment, ensuring it remains safe, reliable, and in top working conditions.

About the Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of patient handling and mobility equipment. You will also diagnose and troubleshoot faults on various equipment, perform LOLER testing and inspections, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of patient handling and mobility equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on a variety of equipment
  • Carry out LOLER testing and inspections
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly
Requirements:
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Previous experience working with mobility or healthcare equipment is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Thorough understanding of LOLER regulations and previous testing experience is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-first approach to service
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and concise manner
