Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Community Health and Eyecare (CHEC). As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, taking inbound and making outbound calls to discuss their appointments. You will also perform administration duties as needed while following established processes and procedures.
Main Duties
- Support patients and be the first point of contact
- Maintain high standards of patient care at all times, responding sensitively to patients who are emotional and/or distressed
- Provide advice to patients about the services we provide
- Use communication skills, including empathy, tact, and reassurance, when handling all calls
- Maintain a robust approach to data quality and patient confidentiality

- Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and schedule work independently
