Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Biomedical Engineer with expertise in medical equipment repair to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is serviced and maintained to the highest standards of safety and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair medical equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues with medical devices and systems, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  3. Service Records: Maintain detailed service records, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventories.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with hospital staff and clinical teams to ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment critical to patient care.
  5. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest medical equipment technologies and repair techniques, and implement best practices in the maintenance program.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including FDA, OSHA, and Joint Commission requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering in the UK, with a focus on medical equipment repair and maintenance.
  3. Certifications: Certified OEM Training & Electrical Testing.
  4. Skills: In-depth knowledge of a wide range of medical devices, including diagnostic, therapeutic, ventilators, anaesthesia, patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices, and life support equipment.
  5. Proficiency: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and repair software.
