Digital Marketing Director

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Marketing will lead a department responsible for driving ticket revenue growth and promoting the Pennsylvania Ballet's brand. The Director will manage a team of digital marketing and promotions, public relations and communications, and web designer marketing, audience engagement and patron services staff to achieve a goal of 40% ticket revenue of the $15m annual budget.
Priorities and Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase earned revenue through increased attendance, new ticket sales, and improve customer loyalty interactions with patrons and prospective patrons.
- Provide staff leadership to the Marketing Department, including hiring, day-to-day management, and motivation of marketing staff and contractors, ensuring professional development and excellence.
- Manage all day-to-day marketing, sales, research, and evaluation activities of the Marketing Department, including administration of the ticket department, the Tessitura system, and relationships with current and prospective ticketing outlets.
- Develop and implement programs that leverage data to drive attendance and ticket sales, while advancing the Artistic Director's artistic vision and the Ballet's brand.
- Collaborate with the Board's Marketing Co-Chair to update the Marketing Plan and ensure alignment with the organization's overall arts agenda and business objectives.
- Develop and manage the budget for the marketing department, ensuring responsible spending and a positive return on financial investment.
The ideal candidate will have sophisticated marketing and branding experience, with a track record of conceiving and implementing successful, innovative marketing strategies. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing and sales, the performing arts, or related disciplines is required.
