Job Description

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Secondary SEMH provision in Northenden. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide mentorship and academic support to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, focusing on their social and behavioral development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support students in developing their emotional regulation skills and promoting positive relationships.
  • Contribute to a vibrant and supportive learning environment, promoting inclusivity and respect for all students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and emotional regulation strategies.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £95.
  • A full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term time only).
