About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd in Dorking. This is a long-term agency contract, with a competitive daily rate of £85-£100.

About the School

The school provides specialist education and support for secondary-aged pupils with a range of learning needs, including autism, Down's syndrome, and social-emotional challenges. Our classes are small, ranging from 6-8 students, and we focus on implementing effective communication techniques.

As a SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our students to access further education or training. You will work closely with our therapists, including SALTs, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors, to provide individualised support and develop a curriculum that meets each student's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their academic and personal development
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to meet student needs
  • Work collaboratively with the therapy team to provide comprehensive support
  • Contribute to the development of a therapeutic curriculum
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A psychology degree or relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
