About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a dedicated support worker, providing essential support to young people with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a relevant subject, such as Psychology or Criminology, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role offers a competitive daily rate of $85-100, a January start with a 1-year contract, and opportunities to work in various educational settings, including special needs schools and mainstream settings with specialist provision.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting and supervising students during the school day, promoting learning and participation
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement strategies to meet individual needs
  • Supporting the development of social skills and confidence
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse learning and behavioural needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Caring attitude and passion for working with young people
