Randstad Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join their specialist day centre for young people and adults with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs.

The setting provides support to 50+ individuals who have a range of needs and disabilities but are united by a love of learning and education. The mission is to help those young people make life happen, which is why the role of a support worker is vital.

As a support worker, you will be supporting with life skills, work experience, and education activities on a part-time, permanent basis starting ASAP. This role requires a commitment of 3-4 days a week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with life skills
  • Supporting with homework/study/educational activities
  • Promoting independence amongst the people we support
  • Supporting people with personal care needs
  • Dealing with complex needs
  • Liaising with other agencies and families when necessary

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other agencies
  • A kind, nurturing, and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
  • Experience working within the care sector (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
