Experienced Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with children aged 9-16 who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
About the Role:
- Support the teaching and learning process by assisting teachers with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment
- Work with a class, small group, or individual learners, both inside and outside the classroom
- Encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs
- Help build confidence and motivation
- Participate in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
- Maintain progress records
Requirements:
- An Undergraduate Degree, ideally in a relevant subject such as Education or Child Development
- Knowledge and/or a keen interest in understanding the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs
- Good general education levels in English and Maths - A Levels are preferable
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a caring attitude
What We Offer:
- A competitive daily rate of £92 (5-day week, 8.30am to 4.00pm)
- The opportunity to work in a special needs school setting with specialist provision for mental health and trauma
- A 1-year contract with the possibility of extension
