Accounts Payable Clerk

A leading company based in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, check, process, and pay all 3rd party invoices and expenses
  • Maintain Contractor spreadsheets and update relevant logs and accounting records
  • Maintain Purchase Ledger Log and ensure it is up-to-date and correct at close of business each day
  • Maintain audit trails - scan, photocopy, file, and archive as required
  • Investigate and resolve Debit balances on Vendor accounts
  • Assist with self-billing routines as required
  • Assist with completion of credit applications for new suppliers
  • VAT checks on new suppliers/contractors
  • Generate weekly supplier payment runs
  • Provide assistance in other areas of the Finance department as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger focused roles
  • Experience of accounting software such as Sage
  • Comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel

Estimated Salary: £28,000 per annum
