Victim Support is an independent charity providing specialist services to people affected by crime across England and Wales. As a Triage and Intervention Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team working towards a world where there are fewer victims but stronger rights, better support, and real influence in the Criminal Justice System.

About the Job

This exciting opportunity is based in North Wales, working 37.5 hours per week. You will work closely with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies, requiring shift work on a rota basis. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic.
  • Offering immediate and short-term intervention via telephone to anyone impacted by crime.

The estimated salary for this role is £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A strong understanding of the criminal justice system and its impact on victims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to converse in Welsh (C1 level or higher) is essential.
