Pertemps is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our client's Engineering Department in West Bromwich.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments, including 25 staff and contractors as needed. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overall management of the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments.
  • Management of the Mechanical maintenance department.
  • Project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Excellent personnel management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Maintenance of a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements, company rules, and procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:

  • A Mechanical Engineering HNC or degree.
  • 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
  • A flexible attitude to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously and adapt to changing operational priorities.
