Job Summary:

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments, including 25 staff and contractors as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the management of the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments.
  • Management of the Mechanical maintenance department.
  • Experience in Mechanical project engineering management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Excellent personnel management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Maintenance of a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements, company rules, and procedures.
  • Outside contacts with suppliers, contractors, and agencies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors.

Requirements:

  • A Mechanical Engineering HNC as a minimum, ideally a Mech Eng degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • A flexible attitude to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously to meet operational priorities.
