About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Manager to join our team at Carbon60. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for the management of the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, including 25 staff and contractors as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments
  • Mechanical maintenance department management
  • Mechanical project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Excellent personnel management skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Safety, Health & Environmental - To maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring that all aspects of installation and maintenance operate to the highest levels of safety and meet all legal and statutory requirements, company rules and procedures
  • Liaison at all levels inside the company, including suppliers, contractors, and agencies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors

Requirements:

  • A Mechanical Engineering HNC as a minimum, ideally a Mech Eng degree
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • A flexible attitude to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously to meet the required changes in operational priorities
  • Career development will be possible with both internal and external training available
