About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our client's Engineering Department in West Bromwich. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for the management of the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, including 25 staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality results.
- Leadership of the Mechanical Maintenance Department, driving improvement and innovation.
- Project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment, with a focus on delivering results-driven solutions.
- Fluent in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, with a strong understanding of their application and benefits.
- Excellent personnel management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
- Safety, Health & Environmental
- Maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, company rules, and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Mechanical Engineering HNC or degree, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
- At least 10 years' experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
- A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
