About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and caring for individuals who present to ED in mental health crisis, as well as those with mental health needs during their inpatient stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with mental health needs, including risk assessments and crisis management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide therapeutic engagement and interventions to patients in groups, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in teaching and training of healthcare professionals, sharing expertise and best practices.
