**Job Title:** Welfare Services Liaison Officer

Salary: €23,000 - €25,000 per annum

Location: Fully onsite in Brighton

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as a Welfare Services Liaison Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to vulnerable residents, answering telephone enquiries and assisting with claim forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephone enquiries from vulnerable residents regarding the Local Discretionary Social Fund
  • Assist residents with completing claim forms over the phone or using our online form
  • Provide basic advice on timescales for assessing claims, required information, and signposting to other help services
  • Support residents in applying for additional assistance, such as the Priority Services Register with their energy company
  • Input notes and perform administrative tasks using our computer system
  • Conduct proactive phone calls to inform vulnerable residents about relevant schemes that can assist them
  • Deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with language barriers or disabilities
  • Data input and summarizing phone calls into notes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of social welfare policies and procedures is essential, along with experience working with vulnerable populations.
