Role Description:

We are looking for a School Liaison Officer to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment. The successful candidate will work closely with schools and other educational institutions to provide support to students who require additional guidance and mentorship.

About the Role:

The School Liaison Officer will be responsible for building strong relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the necessary support to succeed academically and personally. This includes gathering and utilizing information about students, working with the PCC, and managing the day-to-day running of the Pathway (internal exclusion) Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing a mentoring relationship with individuals identified, and operating as a bridge between school and other provisions such as the Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), college link courses, and Work Experience placements.Planning 1:1 sessions to address the needs of students and aid them in setting and reviewing targets.Liaising closely with professionals such as school nurse, Year Curriculum Coordinators (YCCs), Senior Team, social services, health services, Education Welfare, Connexions, Police Liaison Officer, etc.

Requirements:

Strong admin skills and good behaviour management skillsWell organized and able to take initiative

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is around £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
