Salary and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits that promote work-life balance and career development.
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Social Worker to collaborate with families, conduct assessments, and develop SMART plans to ensure children's welfare and reduce risks. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in social work, registration with the relevant professional body, and substantial experience working with children and young people.
- Assess, plan, and manage cases using motivational interviewing techniques to engage families.
- Collaborate with families, respecting their rights and working in partnership to identify strengths and support their needs.
- Conduct assessments to determine the level of risk and develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) plans to ensure children's welfare and reduce risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A professional qualification in social work (e.g., CQSW, DipSW) and registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
- Substantial experience in working with children and young people, ideally in a statutory setting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of child care law, statutory guidance, and safeguarding practices (e.g., Working Together 2018).
