Job Description

This role involves working with children and families to provide relationship-based social work services. You will conduct assessments to identify family strengths, risks, and needs, and develop SMART plans to support children's welfare.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for a varied caseload, providing high-quality social work services to children and families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify family strengths, risks, and needs, and develop effective plans to support children's welfare.
  • Engage in child protection investigations and work collaboratively with families to develop plans that ensure children's safety.
  • Build strong relationships with legal services, healthcare, education, and other partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • You must hold a professional Social Work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with the HCPC.
  • You should have substantial experience in assessing and working directly with children and families in a statutory setting.
  • You must have up-to-date knowledge of UK childcare laws, statutory guidance, and the Working Together 2018 framework.
  • You must have excellent communication, report-writing, and assessment skills.
