Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is an innovative recruitment agency seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their Adoption Team on a permanent, full-time basis in Surrey. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, reviewing, and providing support to children, families, or carers with complex needs, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
Job SummaryThis role involves assessing family functioning, providing assistance and support when relationship breakdown threatens the health or wellbeing of children at risk of abuse or neglect. You will collaborate with other professionals, building effective working relationships to help children, young people, and families improve their lives and regain control when safety or community participation is restricted.
Key Responsibilities- Assess family dynamics, identifying areas of concern and developing responses to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with children, adults, and families as necessary, including intervention when information suggests a need to remove a child from their parents or carers.
- Promote autonomy and development with individuals who have complex social needs, such as those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or diminished capacity.
- Maintain accurate and high-quality records of case activity.
- Participate in planning and decision-making forums, including case discussions, Strategy Meetings, Legal Planning meetings, Child Protection Conferences, Statutory Reviews.
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
The salary for this Supervising Social Worker position is up to £42,246 per annum.
