Job Title: Industrial Officer

Join the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) as an Industrial Officer and play a key role in building union power and promoting the interests of our members.

About the Role:

The Industrial Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing bargaining strategies to achieve better pay and conditions for PCS members
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers and other stakeholders to promote the union's agenda
  • Providing support and guidance to members on industrial relations and employment rights
  • Coordinating and participating in campaigns and events to promote the union's objectives
  • Working with the PCS leadership to develop and implement the union's industrial strategy
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industrial relations and employment law
  • Experience of working in a trade union or similar environment
