Job Title: Industrial Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Industrial Officer to join our team at the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS). As an Industrial Officer, you will play a key role in promoting the union's bargaining, campaigning, and organising agenda, and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build union power and improve the lives of our members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement bargaining and negotiating strategies to achieve improved pay and conditions for PCS members
  • Organise and lead campaigns to promote the union's agenda and build membership density
  • Work with members and activists to develop and implement organising strategies to build union power
  • Provide advice and support to members on employment rights and equality issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and other stakeholders to promote the union's interests
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in industrial relations, bargaining, and negotiating
  • Strong understanding of employment rights and equality legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to the values and principles of the PCS
